If your accident occurred on city streets in Southwest Riverside County (Temecula & Murrieta Valley) then the Murrieta Police Department has your collision report. 

TO OBTAIN IN PERSON: Traffic collision reports can be requested and obtained at the Murrieta Police Station.

 

1. Fill out the request form and drop off at the Murrieta station (address below);

2. Present a valid government identification; 


3. Once you have made the request please allow ten (10) days to process your request;

4. Wait to be notified by telephone about when your accident report is ready. At that time you can respond to the Murrieta Police Station and pick up the report in person or the report can be mailed to you.

NOTE: Whether you pick the report up in person or have it mailed, a fee of $12.00 will be charged.  The $12.00 fee covers the actual costs incurred for records personnel to perform research and prepare the collision report for release.

TO OBTAIN ONLINE: To obtain a copy of your collision report online visit the lexis crash report website below. You'll need to enter the State and responding agency and at least one of the following:

 

  • Report Number

  • Name (first, last) and Date of Incident

  • Name (first, last) and Street name
